Hi,

I want to used ISO7710 in my design.

The maximum operating DC voltage of DW-16 package is 2121.

It means I could used it in a 1500 dc system,is it correct ?

My input voltage is DC voltage,not ac voltage.

    Hi Lin,

    Yes, you can use ISO7710 (DW-16 package) in 1500 Vdc system.

    Hi Saleem,

    I have another question. In the creepage table of IEC 60664, the voltage settings seem to be in RMS. Since my voltage is DC voltage, can I simply convert the DC voltage to RMS voltage to determine the required creepage?

    The reason for this is because the creepage of ISO7710 is 8mm, and it appears to correspond to 1600Vrms in the table. However, the specification only mentions 1500Vrms, so I'd like to understand the discrepancy.

    Hi Lin,

    In many IEC standards, the RMS voltage value can be used for DC voltage as well. I know that IEC 60664-1 creepage table only mentions RMS working voltage.

    I suggest that you consult with your certification agency to make sure it is aligned with you on the final ratings.
