To whom it may concern
Our customer is considering ISO5452 and they have some questions as following.

1. Could you provide documents about benefit of capacitive isolation compare with the other isolation method ?

2. What would failure mode be occured due to electric over stress?
Failure mode is only open? or both open and short?

3. How long does ISO5452 have life time for DC700V ? (for square wave)

4. Could you provide the value of OOK modulation frequency?

2. Depends on the device, our latest family of devices always fail open. Please refer to www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slyy081

3. The device's lifetime for voltages upto 1000V AC or 1420V DC is greater than 25 years.

4. I am sorry I wouldn't be able to disclose this information.

I want to confirm about your answer.

1. Regarding Digital Isolator Design Guide , I think this is not described about what is benefit of capacitive isolation compare with the other method (ex iCoupler) Our customer wants to know why TI use capacitive isolation. Could you provide comparison documents?

2. Does ISO 5452 includes "latest family of devices" that you mentioned?
Could you tell why these devices always open and isn't short mode ?
Our customer want to know the mecanism.

Regarding Capacitive vs other Isolation Technologies comparison, please write us an e-mail at isolation_apps@list.ti.com and I will share you the comparison.
Yes, ISO5452 is included in the devices that fail open, I have provided a link to a more detailed document on failure modes of our isolators.
