Unable to execute binaries as local user on Hawking EVM

Hi,

I am only able to run executables successfully out of "root" user account. 

I created another local user "ramesh" on the Hawking evm and when I try to run a working executable, I get the following error message:

Failed to open /dev/dsp0Failed to open /dev/dsp1Failed to open /dev/dsp2Failed to open /dev/dsp3Failed to open /dev/dsp4Failed to open /dev/dsp5Failed to open /dev/dsp6 Failed to open /dev/dsp7Failed to open /dev/dsp0Failed to open /dev/dsp0 Illegal memory region: addr = 0xc5cf000
 
The same executable works fine when run from the root account.
 
MCSDK LINUX: 3_00_04_18
MCSDK HPC: 03_00_01_12
 
Also, the EVM is booted using a USB device.
 
Am I missing something trivial here? Thank you in advance.
