SN54LVCH245A-SP: SN54LVCH245A-SP Radiation Data

Part Number: SN54LVCH245A-SP

The website states  the SNJ54LVCH245-SP is radiation tolerant but I can’t find any details or test data.  Do you have any information on this parts radiation capability?

  • Hugh,
This device is not specifically "radiation tolerant". The term radiation tolerant in and of itself is not very useful anyways. Most of our older logic devices were released for class V at one time based on customer request without testing nor a minimum radiation performance requirement. Unfortunately, most of these logic devices do not have significant radiation performance.
We do have three logic devices that were intentionally hardened. The AC00, AC02 and AC14.
All of the available radiation data for our products is available here: www.ti.com/.../space.html

There may be some third party data on a device published by NASA, or IEEE.

  • Is this product withstand 30k Rad level??
  • We are not aware of any TID test data for this device.
Based on the technology, it is questionable if the part would pass 30 krad, but it is more likely to do so at a lower dose rate than at a higher dose rate.
