SN74LVC1G17-Q1: Difference between SN74LVC1G17-Q1 and SN74LVC1G17

Part Number: SN74LVC1G17-Q1

Hi team,

Our assigned customer considers to use SN74LVC1G17QDCKRCT instead of SN74LVC1G17DCKR due to supply issue. I have questions about this.

1) Are these have same die? Just a difference at test process and qualification process?

2) What is the difference of characteristics other than the absolute temperature range?

Best regards,

Hideki

  • Are these have same die?

No - automotive devices are required to have a separate die.

Are they designed the same and on the same process? Yes.

Just a difference at test process and qualification process?

    Basically, yes.

What is the difference of characteristics other than the absolute temperature range?

The datasheets include all the characteristics - just put them side-by-side to see the differences.

In my images below, Commercial is on the left, Automotive is on the right.

I wouldn't consider any of these differences to be significant enough to prevent swapping out the parts in the vast majority of cases.  The input thresholds differences and timing differences could impact systems that are very sensitive to timing changes.
