What is the difference between these two part numbers?  They seem identical.

    The electrical characteristics indeed are identical. (See page 9 of the SN74AUP1T50 datasheet.) The only difference is the number painted on top of the chip.

    The SN74AUP1T50 part number exists just for compatibiity with other 74xxx50 parts.
