SN74HCS72: latching circuit for watchdog timer

Part Number: SN74HCS72
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3430

I'm trying to create a latching circuit to extend the reset delay time of TPS3430 watchdog.  The customer wants to keep the watchdog output (WDO) low until it receives an edge.

They need a watchdog timer to pull down a pin when it doesn’t receive an edge on an input pin after a few milliseconds (<50ms). TPS3430 can meet this 50ms requirement.

However, the TPS3430 WDO will reset (de-assert) after a fixed delay time (e.g. 3.2sec).  We need to keep WDO asserted until there is an edge.  Any idea how we can create a discrete logic solution for this requirement?

Thanks
