Dear support,
My customer is asking about the Lead Finish in for the SN74LVC2G17.
1°) Do I understand correctly the datasheet and the finish is not NIPDAU + SN but an option which can be ordered NIPDAU or SN finish ?
2°) They have bought many parts without precise finish lead (by distributor), how can they find what the lead finish is ? They have in stock some reel with original label, but I don't find this info
3°) They would like to change the finish lead to NIPDAU version (like G4 ordering code), does it have an impact on process or something else regarding to lead finish NIPDAU /SN?
Thanks and best regards,
Juan.
Hi Juan,

Yes, NIPADU and SN are two different lead finishes.

I am not too sure as I don't have a part in front of me, however, you may be able to in put the top markings of the device into this search bar and see what the lead finish is. The link believe gives a full list of all the different packages and lead finishes.

"Evaluation of Nickel/Palladium/Gold-Finished Surface-Mount Integrated Circuits" this document compares NIPDAU and Sn finishes. This is the conclusion:
