Hello,

We try to invert a 5V 30kHz Arduino signal with the SN74LVC3G06 to drive afterwards to drive an inverter afterwards.  Unfortunately, we do not get the desired output, we expect the inverted signal of the input signal but get a 5V DC output signal. The circuit diagram we used is attached.

What is wrong with our circuit? Is there an application note which describes the circuit we need?

    The '06 has neither Schmitt-trigger inputs nor push/pull outputs. Why are you using it instead of the '14?

    Anyway, there is nothing obviously wrong in the schematic, except for the missing decoupling capacitor. Is the device powered? Is the input signal valid? (Show an oscilloscope trace.)
