Hello support team,

My customer ask the following, could you support?

*Datasheet shows recommendation conditions from 0V to 5.5V. Does this mean that Vi can be applied even if no Vcc? Customer would like to double check.

*Datasheet shows abs max rating of Vi is from -0.5V to 7V. Does this means Vi can support 7V rating even if no Vcc? Customer would like to double check.

The recommended operating conditions table tells you when the device will work correctly (with the specified electrical characteristics).
The absolute maximum ratings table tells you when the device will not be damaged.

The recommended operating conditions table requires a minimum supply voltage of 2 V. It does not say anything about the power-off state.

The absolute maximum ratings table guarantees that the inputs will not be damaged by voltages up to 7 V, if the supply voltage is anywhere between −0.5 V and 7 V. This includes the power-off state.

Thank you for your prompt support. Please let me confirm, I think you mean that at VCC=0V, if Vi is under absmax 7V, there is no issue, is this correct?
