TXB0104-Q1: [TXB0104QRUTRQ1] Circuit review request

TXB0104-Q1 product will be applied, and the circuit will be configured as shown in the figure below.

Please review.

Please advise if there are other considerations other than the CAP of the power stage.

  • There are several import considerations (see sections 8.3.2/8.3.3/8.3.5 of the datasheet). This schematic does not show what is connected to the I/Os, so I cannot determine if it will work.

    When you have unidirectional signals, you should use the TXU0104-Q1/TXU0204-Q1/TXU0304-Q1 instead.

  • You have 3 signals from 1.8 V to 3.3 V, and 7 signals from 3.3 V to 1.8 V. This can be handled with 3x TXU0304-Q1, with VCCA = 3.3 V and VCCB = 1.8 V.

    The TXU0304-Q1 product is a fixed-direction product.

    As you can see from the circuit diagram, it is judged that the stability of the signal is better if the UART, PCM, and ON/OFF signals are driven by each IC.

    If you configure the circuit as you recommended, the applied signals will overlap. Is there any reason you recommended this part?

    TXB0104-Q1 is a bi-direction product, is there any problem with this product?

  • Using only the TXU0304-Q1 simplifies the BOM.

    If you do want to separate these signals, you can use any combination of TXU devices, i.e., TXU0204-Q1 for U6, TXU0304-Q1 for U10, any any TXU for U12.

    The TXB has many potential problems; see sections 8.3.2/8.3.3/8.3.5 of the datasheet.
