SN74LVC244A: Live Insertion consult

Part Number: SN74LVC244A

Hi Team,

I see our SN74LVC244APWR can support live insertion level isolation in our D/S. Customer is intended to use it in hot-swap application. According to live insertion spec, our SN74LVC244APWR should be okay for that. But I see one requirement is that the output should remain in the high-impedance status during insertion or extraction.

However in customer application, they cannot guarantee the output remain in the high-impedance when doing extraction due to their system design. Is that okay to do that? Any risks customer may face here?

Best,

Stanley
