SN74HC14: Pin width of SN74HC14PWR

Part Number: SN74HC14

Hi support team.

I received an inquiry from my customer.

Customer measured the lead width and reported that the lead width of the SN74HC14PWR was slightly smaller (-0.02mm) than the datasheet lower limit of 0.19mm.

Is this product unusual?
Or does this happen normally?

    Hello Higa-san,

    The devices should never exceed the datasheet specifications, including physical dimensions. The range of sizes allowable are 0.19 to 0.30 mm, so 0.17 mm would be outside datasheet specs. If the customer believes the parts they received do not meet the datasheet specifications (including physical dimensions), I would recommend that they start a return through their supplier.

    Thank you for answering.

    The difference is 0.02 instead of 0.2.

    So 1.88mm instead of 1.7mm.

    However, I will report to the customer that it is a NG product because it is different from datasheet spec.
