The LSF is not a logic buffer but a passive switch.
For input voltages below Vref_A, the LSF behaves like an analog switch. For input voltages above Vref_A, the switch is open, and the output voltage is created by the pull-up resistor.
Thank you,
I have interfaced this IC (LSF0204DPWR) with the I2C interface of the controller (TMS320F28377DPTPEP), here I have used it as a level translator. Is this interface possible?
Hey Mahima,
The LSF0204 can be used with I2C interfaces- however the device would require external pull up resistors and specific biasing requirements. For proper device operation see The Logic Minute Series as a reference.
The TXS0102 can also be used to support level shifting with I2C interfaces and differs from LSF0204 as the architecture includes internal pull up resistors and one-shot circuitry. Note that external pull-up resistors are not recommended for this device.
Regards,
Jack
