SN74HCT244: Input voltage tolerance

Could you please confirm whether my understanding to the input voltage tolerance range is correct? I found no specifications on datasheet but is expecting it to have the same range as Vcc.

Max: 7V

Min: -0.5V

Appreciate the response!

I'm aware of the recommended condition, but due to parasitic components at the input my customer is observing some voltage overshoots and undershoots, could you please help check if there's any specifications on absolute maximum ratings?

Hi David,

The inputs include positive and negative clamp diodes. The inputs can exceed the voltage rating (Vcc) so long as the current through the clamp diode is limited to 20 mA or less.
