LSF0204-Q1: Max. Input voltage at ENable-Pin

Hi,

I`m not pretty sure about it after reading the datasheet.

I have on side-B a voltage of 5V and on side-A a voltage of 1.8V. Do I need to use than 1.8V for the ENable pin or is 5V also fine?

As I`m coming from the uC-side with 5V levels it is clear that I dont have a 1.8V level :-)

The EN pin always allows 5 V; see [FAQ] Can the input voltage (Vi) to my logic device be higher than the supply voltage (Vcc)?

Hi Clemens,

ok in principle it would work but that doesnt mean that it is the standard operating mode. Its not made to be operated continously by opening up the ESD diode I would say. It was made for protection.

But that also answered my question - I have to operate it with 1.8V and its not the normal allowed operation mode working with 5V at the EN pin...

As explained in the FAQ, there is no ESD diode; it works with 5 V.
