    pls recommend Low latency version of SN74ALVC164245,  hope the latency time is less then 5ns,tks.

  • What are the specific voltage you're using?

    The fastest similar device is the SN74LXC8T245, but its maximum propagation delay is more than 5 ns.

      It seems the SN74LXC8T245 Tpd is more than SN74ALVC164245, could your  recommend anyone else?

  • The SN74ALVC164245 does not guarantee any propagation delay for these voltages. The LXC is optimized for higher voltages.

    Use the SN74AXC8T245.

    I've been recently testing various voltage translators as part of another project (including the AXC device) and I can confirm Clemens' response, the AXC's total propagation delay should always be lower than 5ns (within the datasheet's recommended conditions). The AXC recommendation could meet your requirement, however, if you wanted to minimize propagation delay, you might be interested in the SN74AVC8T245. 

    if you need a level shifter with propagation delay below 5ns, both recommendations would work; however, if you need the most optimized propagation delay for the 3.3V-1.8V application, please let us know, as we may have other solutions.
