SN54LVTH244A-SP: Lid material and connection

Part Number: SN54LVTH244A-SP

Does the CDP (W) package for the SN54LVTH244A-SP have a metal lid? and is this lid floating or electrically connected to anything?

The package drawing on the data sheet has a note that says the lid can be ceramic but I saw another post that indicated it was aluminum.

Hi Mark,

The lid material should be aluminum as referenced in the post. The package drawing is a generic page that is inserted into the datasheets of any device that contains that package. The lid can be ceramic in some certain devices.

What about the second part of my question - is the lid electrically connected to anything, or is it floating?

The lid should not be connected to anything.

Hi Albert,

Need to revisit the question on the lid material. Please see the below picture of the SN54LVTH244A-SP. This does not appear to be an aluminum lid, unless it has been coated with another material. Can you double-check this?
