TXB0108: Pull-up resistor recommendation

Part Number: TXB0108
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXS0102, LSF0102, TXU0104

Hi

My customer explained to me the application situation:

  1. The A side is connected to the GPIO.
  2. The B side is connected to the Ethernet chip.
  3. The signal is I2C, and is the open drain, thus need a pull-up resistor.
  4. The data rate is about 400k to 1M.

According to my understanding, the pull-up resistor in the application of open drain, they cannot be so large, normally are 4.7k, largest are 10k.

However, in our TXB0108 datasheet, the pull-up/pull-down resistor are 50kOhm minimum, which are conflict.

Thus, does our TXB0108 can be used in this kind of case, or is there any recommendation about the selection of the pull-up resistors?
