Dear TI experts,
My customer considers SN74LVCH16T245 for their new product, and they have a question about data rate.
the condition that my customer want is 3.3V input and 1.8V output.
1. I found that SN74LVCH16T245 supports maximum 200MHz under 3.3V input/5V output condition.
How about 3.3V input/1.8V output? what is maximum data rate under this condition?
(they want to use 48MHz clock rate.)
2. Is there any table about maximum data rate regarding to each input voltages and output voltages?
3. SN74LVCH16T245 is released in 2005. my customer is worried about discontinuation.
Could you recommend latest device which can support 48MHz clock speed (or more) and 16bits translation?
Best regards,
Chase
You can estimate the maximum speed from a flip-flop in the same family; see [FAQ] What is the maximum data rate (or operating frequency) for a logic gate or buffer?
At 1.8 V, the SN74LVCH16374A is specified for 150 MHz, but this table says 80 MHz.
Modern devices have only eight channels. Use 2× SN74AXC8T245, which can do more than 125 MHz at 1.8 V.
