CD4504B-EP: Is CD4504BMPWREP compatible for 15V to 3V3 Logic

Part Number: CD4504B-EP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM293-EP, TLC372-EP, TL331-EP, LM239A-EP

Could you please confirm if CD4504BMPWREP can be used for 15V to 3.3V level down shifting.

Under recommended condition , i see 5V as minimum input voltage but in the waveform  it goes as low as 3V. Could you please confirm.

Could you suggest translators which can step down voltage from 15V to 3.3V.

  • For voltages below 5 V, there have never been any guaranteed electrical characteristics. Chris Cockrill said that

it does not work well at 3V as it was specd and barely worked at 3.3V. It may not alway work at 3.3V across temp and process. We tried but could not get it to work well in the 3V range so we moved the operating voltage to 5V where it does work.

How many channels at what speed do you need? Consider comparators like the LM239A-EP/LM293-EP/TL331-EP or TLC372-EP.
