TXV0106: skew for Vcca=1.2V and switching char. for Vcca=3.3V

Genius 12865 points
Part Number: TXV0106

Hello Team,

the data sheet does not provide the following information:

1. channel to channel skew for Vcca = 1.2V?

2. switching characteristics for Vcca=3.3V and Vccb=1.2V?

May I ask you to provide this missing important information, please?

What is the maximum datarate for below conditions, please:

  • 1,3V LVCMOS -> 3,3V LVCMOS
  • 3,3V LVCMOS -> 1,3V LVCMOS

 Thank you and Best Regards, Hans

  • Hi Hans,

    I have further reached out to the team if feasible to include 3.3 V to 1.2 V (for reference, you can expect not > than 1.2 V to 1.2 V).

    However, section 5.6 is the available data as of this time for 1.2 V to 3.3 V, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.

  • Hi Michael,

    regarding my question #1.: section 5.6 (1.2V to 3.3V) does not provide any channel to channel skew data.

    regarding my question #2.: can you explain your comment "you can expect not > than 1.2 V to 1.2 V", please? How is this related to channel to channel skew?

    Looking at the different switching characteristics I can see that lower Vcca and Vccb makes ch-to-ch skew slower and I can get no idea how it will look like for 1.2V to 1.2V.

    Can TXV0106 be used at 250Mbps for 1.3V LVCMOS -> 3.3V LVCMOS and 3.3V LVCMOS -> 1.3V LVCMOS?

    Thank you and best regards, Hans

  • Hi Hans,

    I see, my comment was for tpd switching char.

    Yes, TXV can be used as the worst skew we have seen on bench is for 106 ps with 1.2 V outputs (and this was for a weak corner -40 C, skew was in mid double digits at other temperatures). Note that 1.2 V to 3.3 V worst skew on bench (-40 C) was for 42 ps, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.

  • Hi Michael, this is somehow surprising for me as I expected some ch-ch skew in the mid 100s ps (worse than 330ps) when extrapolating the numbers from the switching characteristics.

    Thanks and best regards, Hans

  • Hi Hans,

    Yes, your expectations would be correct if spec'd in the datasheet as this would be for simulation worst case which would be different from bench worst case, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.
