Hi team,

In datasheet, Vin recommendation; 0V<Vin<Vcc. Is it possible to input voltage higher than Vcc. I understand this is our out of recommendation.

My customer think to use Vcc=3.3V, Vin=5V.

When you apply higher voltages to the inputs, then these voltages will be clamped, a current will flow into the power supply, and when the current is not limited, the device might get damaged. See [FAQ] Can the input voltage (Vi) to my logic device be higher than the supply voltage (Vcc)?

Other devices like the SN74LVC7002A-Q1 have overvoltage-tolerant inputs.
