Tool/software:
The current material is 2 years old. From the pictures, it appears that the 12 pieces of sample material have yellowish stains. From the specifications sheet of this material, the coating is NIPDAUAG treated, which is an uncommon tin plating. Please confirm: What is the normal color of the coating on this material during its valid D/C period?
Will yellowing of the coating on the chip affect its normal use?
Hey Tony,
NIPDAUAG is the expected lead finish for TXB0104RUTR. This app note suggests that shelf life is >8 years under exposure to Battelle Class 2 MFG environments.

I would expect the tint to be silver and not yellowish, though I found an online article that indicates that it is more of cosmetic defect without affecting functionality: http://irjaes.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/IRJAES-V4N2P419Y19.pdf
