Hi,

We are planning to use this buffer for MDC/MDIO from Processor to Eth Switch. Can you confirm it can be used for this purpose. Will this support for both Push pull and open drain? (MDIO is an open drain logic and MDC is push - pull logic).

    Hi Kevin,

    LSF can be used here to support push-pull/ open drain applications, though it is strongly recommended to remove the caps. (C3176, C3177) on the I/O lines. The LSF is not capable of buffering signals, so the logic high state determined solely by the sizing of the external pullups. Having additional capacitance will only slow down the rise time and potentially impact our data rate.
