SN74LVC1G14: difference between G4 version & non-G4

Part Number: SN74LVC1G14

Tool/software:

Hello experts,

My customer is interested in using SN74LVC1G14

However when I check there is SN74LVC1G14DBVR and SN74LVC1G14DBVRG4, may I ask what the difference is?

I see that for SN74LVC1G14DBVR there is very little stock and for SN74LVC1G14DBVRG4 there is a lot..

Thank you in advance for your help and support.

  • I see, that G4 means 'always NiPdAu lead finish' and there is no difference.

Should we drive customer to use SN74LVC1G14DBVR or SN74LVC1G14DBVRG4, regarding supply issues?

Or does it not matter? I hoped to ask because there is a price difference.

    Thank you.

  • Hi Jade,

It does not matter. The devices are electrically the same. If I had to guess, the non-G4 parts are likely SFAB and are being phased out slowly for RFAB G4 parts (but I am not entirely sure if this is the case).

    Best,

    Malcolm
