Hi,

Does anyone know where can I find the schematic for CD74HC4060? I want to tune the oscillator to run at 2MHz and I would like to know if it is possible with both RC and crystal oscillator solutions.

There are formulas and charts in the datasheet for setting the frequency on page 7.

You could also use a crystal input on pin 9.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for responding. I see the formulas on page 7. However, I don't know how to connect Rx and Cx. In addition, I would also like to know what values of capacitors to use if I were to use a crystal instead.

Take a look at page 6 of this datasheet. SN74HC4060 for RC hookup.

The capacitors when using a crystal are critical and they will be specd in the crystal datasheet.
