SN74LVC2G79 no Power

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC2G79

Hi team,

If the SN74LVC2G79 power down, what is the status of each pin, pull high or pull down?

What is the default  status of  output? Does it keep the last status?

Thanks.

Prescott

  • The datasheet says:

This device is fully specified for partial-power-down applications using Ioff. The Ioff circuitry disables the outputs, preventing damaging current backflow through the device when it is powered down.

In other words, the outputs have high impedance. (As shown in section 3.4 of SCYA049, the outputs have blocking diodes against both VCC (which is low) and the actual ground, with corresponding leakage currents.) The outputs are not driven either way, not even weakly; any input connected to them would be floating.

The default state after reset is not specified. You have to assume it is random.
