8 port bi-directional signal buffer

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AUC245

Dear Team,

Could you help to recommend the signal buffer solution which is based on the below requirement?

1. 8 bit.

2. Bi-directional

3. For 5V tolerant LVTTL signal.

4. Data rate up to 1 Gbps.

5. The buffer DC spec suggest to meet below.

Thank you.

  • Hi Jim,
The logic group doesn't have a device that can support 1 Gbps (I believe our fastest devices (AUC family) top out around 300 MHz.

I'm not sure who to contact for you in the high speed group - you might try posting to their forum.
  • Hi Emrys,

After confirm with the customer, they can accept the solution which support up to 300MHz.
So could you provide your recommendation?

    Thank you.
  • The fastest 8-bit transceiver we have (300MHz) is the SN74AUC245, however its maximum voltage is only 3.6V.

The fastest 5V device I know of is in the AHC family, but that caps out around 75-100MHz. The LVC1G series of devices do support ~100MHz and 5V, but only come in 1 to 3 bit versions.

Can you tell me about the application that requires such high speed 5V signals?
