Could you please tell us the maximum rating of overshoot and undershoot?

I think,
Overshoot should be 7 V (Rated value of datasheet)
Undershoot should be
GND - 3.0 V, tw = 10 ns
GND - 1.5 V, tw = 100 ns
(tw: width at GND - 0.5 V)

The absolute maximum ratings allow undershoots as long as the current is limited.

Does your circuit allow a resistor in front of the input pin? If not, an external (Schottky) diode from ground to the pin can shunt the current away.

Hi Kazusa,

If you are talking about the input then the Vi (input voltage range) spec in the abs max table are the values you should look at. If its output, then Vo (output voltage range) in the abs max table are the values you should look at.
