TXS4558: About VSEL* timing

Part Number: TXS4558

Hello,

Regarding to VSEL2 timing on TXS4558, my customer is asking some question.

In their application, VSEL2 is high during VCC is power up.

In this case, VSIM is output 2.95V correctly.

 (Please refer bellow diabrames.)

(Question)

1) Do you have a timing of VSEL with respect to VCC?

2)When VSEL is made High, how many more than volts of VCC is needed?

3)Or according to RECOMMENDED OPERATING CONDITIONS, minimum VCC is 1.7V.

So, does VCC need more than 1.7V to enable VSEL?

  • Hi Tao,

There is no timing specs to meet, but I would probably wait until the Vsim supply settles before enabling. The datasheet does give a Vsim power up time. The supply needs at least 1.7 V to have guaranteed operation. It is possible for the internal to power on lower than 1.7 V however.
