SN54LVC14A: Are the terminals gold plated

Part Number: SN54LVC14A

Hi team,

In the old version of SN54LVC14AFK datasheet, it was clearly stated that the pins were gold-plated, as shown in the figure below. But the latest datasheet does not have this sentence, so please make sure that the pin of this device is still gold-plated?

  • Hi Amy,

There have been no physical changes to the device. The terminals are still gold plated.

This was just an update to the format of the mechanical drawing. These drawings are used across all devices in the same package, so specifics such as plating were removed in the update.

  • Hi Emrys,

    Thanks for your answer.

Since this sentence has been removed from the datasheet, has TI explained it in other documents to let customers know this information that the terminals are still gold plated?

  • Hi Amy,

In the Package Option Addendum, you can see that it still lists that the package uses a POST-PLATE procedure -- it has not changed.
