SN74LVC1G58: Does this part have full Schmitt trigger inputs?

Part Number: SN74LVC1G58

I'm looking through the datasheet and I see a few things that support this device has Schmitt trigger inputs, however I'm only seeing one single statement that reads "because of Schmitt Action..."

Looking through the Schmitt trigger app note (SCEA046), I see that some devices that claim "Schmitt action" may not have full Schmitt trigger inputs, but rather some added hysteresis to help with slow inputs.

In the SN74LVC1G58 datasheet I see no rise/fall time specs, and I do see V_T+/V_T- specs which supports the device has schmitt trigger inputs, along with most of the figures showing the Schmitt trigger circuit symbol.

I just wanted to be sure this device does indeed have full Schmitt Trigger inputs.

Thanks.

  • Devices without Schmitt-trigger inputs have Δt/Δv, VIH, and VIL specifications.

Devices with Schmitt-trigger inputs have VT+, VT−, and ΔVT specifications. And you will see the Schmitt-trigger symbols in the logic diagram.
