HI,

How do I know which bootloader version is used on my device? i supposed it is the stock bootloader that comes with the module. Where can i get the entire source code for this bootloader? I am aware of the examples code in the Tivaware but there are 3 bootloader examples. I do not know which is the one that comes with the module.

Hello Suzanne,

There is no 'version' information for the ROM boot loader. All devices have a ROM Boot Loader which can be invoked when the Flash memory of the device is erased and this boot loader has not been updated for Revision 3 silicon.

We don't provide the exact source code for any of our ROM functionality but the boot loader operation in terms of invoking the different programs etc. is the same as the flash boot loader offered in TivaWare.

The boot_serial project in TivaWare would be the boot loader itself. The other projects are demonstrations to use with the boot loader.

Is it ti\TivaWare_C_Series-2.2.0.295\examples\boards\ek-tm4c1294xl\boot_serial?

I need to add new feature for the current existing bootloader. That is why I need the code to do the modification.

Yes that would be the correct project.

Understood, that is why we provide the flash bootloader code in boot_serial so you can make modifications to add functionality not available with the ROM bootloader. The project you identified is the correct place to start. Do note that the bulk of the source code for the flash bootloader exists in C:\ti\TivaWare_C_Series-2.2.0.295\boot_loader
