AM2432: Power Supply for Usage of Main Domain Only and Related Questions

Hi,

My customer has a question regarding power supply to the AM243x when only using the main domain and not the MCU domain.

Do they have to supply power to the following pins?

VMON_1P8_MCU
VMON_3P3_MCU
VDDSHV_MCU

If there are any other pins they don't need to supply power to, please let me know.

Also, the AM243x datasheet (Section 7.4 Recommended Operating Conditions) gives nominal, min, and max values for voltage. Are there any specifications similarly for current ratings?

Hi Mari,

In AM243x - the MCU domain is also the wakeup domain and the power to these pins need to be provided even if the MCU domain is not used.

For current ratings - the customer can use the power estimation tool at https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sprm779 and the related App note at https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/spracw6 to estimate the power for their application.
