Hi Experts,

My customer is evaluating TMDXICE110 REV:A and purchasing new debugger.

Debugger : TMDSEMU200-U(Blackhawk)

CCS : 7.4.0.00015

Previously, my customer was using Spectrum Digital XDS200 whose firmware version is 1.0.0.7 while Blackhawk XDS200 firmware version is 1.0.0.8. Now they are encountering the connection error.

We are assuming customer needs to update XDS emulation software to use Blackhawk XDS200 but not sure which version should be installed.

Could you please give us advice?

MCU is AMIC110.

Hi Uchikoshi-san,

TMDSEMU200-U supports AMIC110. I think the driver with CCS should work for AMIC110. The driver is located

C:\ti\ccsxxx\ccs\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds2xx

Hi QJ,

Thank you for your reply. As Uchikoshi-san mentioned, the customer can connect the TMDSEMU200-U by Spectrum Digital (swRev = 1.0.0.8) and it works well. Therefore, they purchased the same one more, but the TMDSEMU200-U by Blackhawk (swRev=1.0.0.9) which cannot be connected was delivered.

What should they modify or update ?

They're using CCS v7.4.0.00015 and would like to use this version continuously.
Should they update the XDS Emulation Software (EMU Pack) from the following site ?

If so, which version can support Blackhawk (swRev=1.0.0.9) on CCs v7 ?

Hi QJ,

Thank you for your reply. Since the customer couldn't understand which version of the XDS driver should be applied to CCS7.4, they tried to install the latest EMUPack 9.2.0.00002. However, the same error described in the previous post above still occurred, and can't connect to the AMIC110 ICE.

Also, they tried to upgrade the CCS to the latest version 11 from CCS7, but the same error still occurred. In any case, Spectrum Digital XDS200 can be connected.
From these reason, they think this Blackhawk XDS200 is defective product.

Do you have any idea to connect the Blackhawk XDS200 emulator to AMIC110 ICE ?

I am not sure if the BH XDS200 is defective or not. Can you contact with Blackhawk tech support to get help?

Hi QJ,

I told with BU about this issue. As a result, BH XDS200 doesn't support AMIC110 ICE.
