Hi Experts,
A customer would like to ask assistance in choosing the right OPN crystal oscillator for the part MSP432E401YTPDT.
As shown from Table 5-13 of its datasheet, these part numbers are either obsolete or out of stock.
I tried searching from one of our authorized distributor, found the part number:
Is this part applicable? Also, what is the recommended series resistance as well?
Thank you!
Regards,
Archie A.
Hello Dennis,
Thanks for responding.
Hoping to hear updates from you within the day.
Thank you!
Regards,
Archie A.
Hi Archie,
Overall the specifications on this crystal appear to meet the recommended values. However, for the Rs (series) resistance to reduce the power dissipation, is not clearly defined how to calculate its value. At least not in this document. I suspect the customer will need to try a few values and go through the steps outlined in this posting I found in the forum.
The customer provided a word document showing his steps.
