LM3S6432: LM3S6432-IBZ50-A2 Reprogramming Solutions

Part Number: LM3S6432

Hi Team,

Could you please help to check our cusotmer's concern.

An incorrect MAC address was programmed onto the chip. They are wondering if anyone at TI knows of any workarounds to reprogramming them. To our knowledge, the MAC address cannot be reprogrammed due to the fuse bit.

Is there is a way to reprogram a MAC address on this chip once it has already been set?

Thank you in advance for the support.

Best regards,

Jonathan

  • Hello Jonathan,

I am not too familiar with these devices so I need a bit more background here.

When they say programming the MAC Address, is that the address that goes into the registers MACIA0 and MACIA1?

If not can they clarify which registers they are programming or how they are loading the MAC address?

Also if they can provide any reference to this 'fuse bit' I can look into it further but I haven't seen anything like this mentioned in the datasheet or the errata.

    Best Regards,

    Ralph Jacobi
