TM4C1231H6PM: GPIO Input 2ma

Part Number: TM4C1231H6PM

Hello All,

I would like to know if PG5 pin is left floating and set as a “GPIO INPUT 2ma no-pull”, would a LOW be read all the time?

During a test, PG5 read a LOW. Hoping to understand if there is something internally that would make it LOW with a no-connect.

Thank you

Rich

  • Hello Rich,

It's not a guarantee, if there are signals with enough energy nearby then parasitic voltages can be observed on adjacent floating pins and there is a potential it could prompt a false HIGH read if the voltage is in between the specs for guaranteed low vs high readings.

The only way to make the NC low with reliability is to use the internal pull-down resistor.

    Best Regards,
