Was this an out of the box LaunchPad or one that was programmed by them? If the latter, have they tried to Unlock the device via the steps outlined in Section 5.3 of this document? https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/spma075#page=21

To have the LaunchPad recognized by Windows via the ICDI interface they need to use the DEBUG port only - understood they tried both, but just wanted to be sure that is clear.

The customer tried to unlock the device as instructed in Section 5.3 but it still isn't working.

Does this mean that the board is dead?

In theory it might. Have you gotten feedback about the ICDI drivers and if they were using Out-of-Box vs their own code?

Yes, the ICDI is installed and they also use the debug port. The customer have 2 of this board and both does not work.

Let me getback to you about the out-of the box code vs their code.

I would not expect two boards to be non-functional, so it is likely a user error of some sort.

If they used their own code, then the possibility is that they have put the device in a bad state with incorrect clock configuration or incorrect hibernation usage.

The device unlock process would restore the device. It has to be followed very carefully or it won't work. On occasion it can take a second time to do it properly.
