I am encountering repeated issue when installing the MSP-Gang Pro software from the TI websites. After extracting the files and running the Setup.msi I am greeted with a popup that says This setup requires the .NET Framework version 3.5. Please install the .Net Framework and run this setup again. The .Net Framework can be obtained from the web. Would you like to do this now?". After being redirected to the website and downloading, installing, and rebooting my PC, this popup continues to show and not allowing me to proceed with the installation.
I have verified that the .Net SDK is installed and have re installed and repaired it in attempts to get the setup to recognize it but with no further output its been difficult to debug. What is really strange is I had this software already installed at one point but after changing hardware, (desktop to laptop), now I am encountering these issues with the software.
Hi Eduardo,
What operating system are you running on?
I would try a fresh install, ensure you uninstall the current version. There should be a setup.exe file in the extracted folder that you can run. Make sure you run it it with administrator privileges.

Hello Brandon,
I am running windows 10. I have done a full uninstall of the gangpro software and of the .net framework. I have admin rights on this pc and have extracted and run the setup.msi to no luck
Hi Eduardo,
setup.msi
Do you mean the setup.exe? The .msi installer package does not include all the installation steps.

Hello Brandon,
I was referring to MSP-GANG-Setup.msi and setup.exe, as both had the same result.
Thank you,

Hi Eduardo,
I was able to recreate the .NET framework error you were getting. In the search bar can you search "Windows Features", then click on Turn Windows Features on or off. In this menu can you verify that the .NET Framework 3.5 has a filled box?
When I had the .NET Framework 3.5 checked I was able to properly install the MSP-Gang app by running setup.exe

Luke
