TM4C123BE6PM: Migrating to TM4C1233H6PMI

Part Number: TM4C123BE6PM

Hi,

Good Day.

The customer uses a few thousand TM4C123BE6PMI parts a year but they are hard to get hold of, they have found some free stock of part TM4C1233H6PMI and they look pin-for-pin and he wondered if it was possible to migrate from one to the other and if there are any main differences (peripheral wise) as he can't find a migration guide or much information about the differences?

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hello Ray,

The devices are pin-to-pin compatible, but TM4C1233H6PMI is a subset device with fewer peripheral features compared to TM4C123BE6PMI.

Additional peripherals that TM4C123BE6PMI would have are: dedicated PWM peripheral with 16 channel outputs, dual CAN bus (opposed to single), and the QEI peripheral.

A full table with comparisons of features across all devices can be found here: https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/spmt285/

    Best Regards,
