On trying to configure and test the ADC and PWM interrupts as CAT2 ISR, in the ADC and PWM General container; the build fails with references to Adc_Irq.h and Pwm_Irq.c
MCAL Delivery : MCAL_AM263x_08.06.02
Modules : PWM and ADC
Hi Ashish,
I have tried to change this at my end and I see that the builds are happeneing fine when the CATEGORY is changed. Can you please update if you're using any other 3P OS's like vectorOS etc.,?
can you please post the entire error message here?
Thanks,
G Kowshik
Hello Kowshik,
We are using Microsar from Vector for our project. That's the quick input I can provide for now. I will need to reconfigure and provide the screen shots a bit later.
Configuration updated with ISR_CAT2

Build fails with compilation error:
Same error observed for Pwm_Irq.c file when CAT2_ISR is enabled for PWM:
Hi Ashsish,
I heard back from the Dev team to use the AM263x_08.06.02.01 release. These are fixed in that release. You can find this release in your MSS folder shared to you.
Thanks
Background of the issue, TI has released this 8.6.2 package to vector and they reported this issue. TI released another package 8.6.2.1 which has these fixed. May be you have got the SIP package in the mean time hence the confusion. Migrating to the newer package should solve this. If you still see them please let me know.
Thanks
Hi Kowshik,
Thank you for the update.
We do not receive the SIP delivery from Vector directly. Vector has suggested us to integrate the new MCAL packages by ourselves using the script that they provide as as part of their delivery.
Could you please suggest us where we can get the latest MCAL deliveries for the Sitara platform? Also, how would we get notifications on the latest MCAL deliverables available at TI side please?
Hi Ashish,
You should have access to something called as My Secure SW (Shortly MSS). This is the typical stream TI uses to share the MCAL or other NDA documents to our customers. Please check with your marketing point of contact and you should have access to this MSS and you can download the new package from there.
Thanks
Hi Kowshik,
I got access now and did have a look through the release notes, but could not find info related to this fix in the release notes. More over, the release notes of the older version and the new version seems to be same.
Could you confirm if the fix is already there in the new version. It would take some time to integrate the MCAL to Vector. It would be better to put the effort if its sure to fix the previous issue.
Hi Ashish,
I checked with the Dev team, the release notes update and it seems to be a miss from TI side, apologies for this. I went ahead and compared the source files. It seems the updates are done and you should overcome these errors after integration.
Thanks
Thanks a lot Kowshik for confirming. We will then plan to take the MCAL release and integrate and check the functioning.
I also heard based on internal discussion that we might get some patches from TI for some existing issues. I am supposing that they might be providing it on top of MCAL 8.6.2.1. We shall plan to integrate the patched MCAL; to save time of multiple integrations.
I shall mark the ticket resolved; once we have integrated and verified. Until then i suppose that this ticket can remain open right?
Hi Ashsish,
yes any patches would be on top of 8.6.2.1 only, yes you can integrate and then resolve this ticket.
Thanks,
G Kowshik
