TMS570LC4357: Using CAN2.0 speeds above 1Mbit/s

Part Number: TMS570LC4357
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM2634-Q1, TCAN4551-Q1, TCAN4550-Q1, , TCAN3404-Q1

Hi TI Team

We are looking for a lockstep MCU for our SIL3 PLC that, if it was perfect would have 4x CAN-FD modules. I know there is the new AM2634-Q1 but we would like to have a simple one without the need of an external flash. The TMS570LC4357 seems perfect except for the missing CAN-FDs. One solution would be the usage of four TCAN4550-Q1/TCAN4551-Q1 ICs. But we had another idea. Since the newer generation of CAN transceivers can handle data rates up to 8 Mbit, work with 3.3V (TCAN3404-Q1) and we have only multiple TMS570LC4357 on that bus we thought of "overclocking" the CAN2.0 Modules in the MCUs to like 4 Mbit or even 8 Mbit. We

So my question is if the CAN2.0 modules in the TMS570LC4357 are limited to 1 Mbit or is it possible to "overclock" them.
