Hello TI team,

Our customer REMOTE TECH LTD have question for the PN#MSPM0L1105TRGER, we bought this item 80k before, when they used it, they said ''The problem with the duplicated serial numbers is happening because the Texas Instruments MCUs used are pre-production units and therefore there’s a register with an unique ID that should be unique but reads all zeroes in all devices and that’s creating a problem.''

Could you please confirm did this PN is pre-production units?

This topic has been brought to our attention this past week on Friday and I have reached out to our Product Test team to help understand the cause. Do you know where the customer purchased these devices from? Directly from TI or a distributor?

We bought it from TI directly and then we ship it to Remote, our PO number is MC11E0159599, here are the label on the package, for your reference

This confirms the lot# is same issue currently being investigated by our product/test group. This issue was brought to our attention on 19 Jan by Brian Mcluckie from Sanmina. I will keep you posted with any updates.
