AM2434: QSPI Flash memory suggestion for PCB space optimization

Hi Team,

we are using AM243x LP which has external flash memory of S25HL512TFAMHI010 (512mb - 64MB). We want to reduce the flash size for our project.

We need to implement 3 variants:

  • EtherCAT Protocol
    • The main code resides in external flash memory -- please let us know the memory mapping (start-address and size) in flash.w.r.t EtherCAT code (Firmware upgrade).
    • Memory mapping for EtherCAT data in flash
  • EtherNET/IP Protocol
    • The main code resides in external flash memory -- please let us know the memory mapping (start-address and size) in flash.w.r.t EtherNET/IP code(Firmware upgrade).
    • Memory mapping for EtherNET/IP data in flash
  • Profi-NET I/O with RT / IRT Protocol
    • The main code resides in external flash memory -- please let us know the memory mapping (start-address and size) in flash.w.r.t Profi-NET I/O code (Firmware upgrade) (ballpark estimate).
    • Memory mapping for Profi-NET data in flash

Also please let us know if Flash storage is used for any other purpose in AM2434 LP code base.

 Additionally, we have to implement webserver with webpage data (1 MB) stored in Flash.

We are looking to reduce Flash size upto 16MB or lower.
