MSPM0L1106: VDD Mon on/ off control

Part Number: MSPM0L1106

Hello,

I see in the datasheet that VDD monitor (ADC Channel 15) consumes ~10 uA of current when enabled. But I don't see anything in the SDK on how to turn this on or off, is this managed internally on the device automatically?

Or is there an API that allows you to manually control whether or not the VDD monitor resistor divider is enabled?

  • Hi Munan,

Great question.  It isn't clear how to turn this off or on for that matter.  I posed this question to the gang here and the consensus is either 1) enabling/disabling CH15 controls whether or not the resistor divider is enabled, or is disabled when ADC is powered down.  I'll pose this question to the design team tonight.  ADC is on PD1 so in STANDBY mode it should be disabled and only wake on a fast clock request.  Have you tried to measure the current in this mode?  and again when ADC is powered off?

  • Hi Munan - design has confirmed that selecting ch15 enables the resistive divider, deselecting ch 15 disables the divider.
