MSPM0G1507: JTAG and Reset Pull up resistor value confirmation

Part Number: MSPM0G1507

Hi Team,

What value pull up resistors need to be populated for SWD and SWCLK (JTAG)

Our design has 10K and 3.33K resistor used in many places.

In data sheet a 47K pullup resistor for reset is mentioned along with 10nF cap.

Can we use 10K as Reset pullup and 3.33K as JTAG pull up?

Please confirm

Regards

Vishnu

  • HI Vishnu,

You don't need a pullup/pulldown on the SWD pins at all. The MSPM0G implements these internally:

If you want them then 3.3k would be very strong for this use case. The ARM Recommendation is somewhere around 100kOhms. I would also say that if you choose to add them, the SWCLK should be pulled-down, and the SWDIO should be pulled-up as the MSPM0G does internally.

For the NRST, 10kOhm is fine.

    Best Regards,
