TMS570LS1114: TMS570LS1114 Bottom driver source code

Part Number: TMS570LS1114
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA411-Q1, DRV3205-Q1, , TPS653851-Q1, TMS570LS0332, HALCOGEN, TPS65381-Q1, TPS65381A-Q1, LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012, TMS570LS1227, TMS570LS0914, TMS570LS0714

hello

l want to use ti safety eps solution of TPS65381A+TMS570XX+DRV3205-Q1+PGA411-Q1

can you give me the TMS570LS1114 Bottom driver source code(I mearn can debug with pga411)?

when will the TPS653851-Q1 will mp? how can i get sample?

what`t the difference with TMS570ls1114BPGEQQ1 and TMS5700332APZQQ1?

thank you very much?

l already have eps product,l want to thansfer my code to TMS570LS1114+pga411; so l

need the whole bottom driver source code, thank you very much!

  • You have asked several questions in a single post. I will address the differences between the TMS570LS1114 and the TMS570LS0332.  Startup initialization software for either part can be quickly generated using our HALCoGen code generator. I will move this post to other forums for people to address your TPS65381A, DRV3205 and PGA411 questions.

Here is a short summary of the TMS570LS0332PZ compared to the TMS570LS1114PGE. For a summary of additional parts, please see our Selection Guide.

  • Hi Mr. Zhang,

You should be using the updated TPS65381A-Q1 version of the TPS65381-Q1.  The original driver code for the TMS570/Hercules will still be valid for use with the TPS65381A-Q1, there is no functional difference between the TPS65381A-Q1 and the TPS65381-Q1 so the software to support it is completely interchangeable.  The driver software is available on the TMS570/Hercules software download pages.  The TMS570/Hercules low level drivers if for example the SPI ports have changed may need to be adapted but the actual configuration of the TPS65381A-Q1 is independent of which TMS570/Hercules is being used.

    Best Regards,

    Scott

  • Dear bob
    thank you for your comparation, l decide to choose TMS570LS1114 to finishe my eps, because l need 21 channels adc;
but l fond no TMS570LS1114 evm and samples in ti web, only can supply LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012 and TMS5701227CPGEQQ1,
l want to know how can l buy TMS570LS1114? if TMS570LS1114 is in MP? what`s your hero mcu in eps application?
  • Hello Zhang,

The TMS570LS1114 is in production. generally speaking, we offer the superset device, TMS570LS1227, for sampling as it is the primary one we keep inventory on. Since the TMS570LS1114 is a subset configuration of the larger content device, you can use the larger device by keeping the memory and feature configuration in your software for the smaller device. This would be a solution only for development since you can order the specific device with the appropriate lead times.

You may also want to consider the TMS570LS0914 device which is, again, an optimized configuration of the larger TMS570LS12x/11x device family (i.e., code compatibility within device memory and feature content specifications). More info on this part is located here: www.ti.com/.../tms570ls0914 (note same silicon also available as TMS570LS0714 with less flash)

For this part number, there are direct samples available.

Also, from an EVM/development board availability perspective, since these devices are all derivatives of each other and very similary, we don't offer an EVM with this exact part number on them. We offer either an HDK with the TMS570LS1227ZWTQQ1 device or a less functionality launchpad with the TMS570LS1224PGE device. In either case, you would use them with the same configuration as either the LS1114, LS0914, LS0714 device.

I know this is all a bit confusing as there are many options and limited EVM/development boards available. The key is to use and configure the device on your development board the same as your end device to be included on your custom hardware.
