Hello,

I am using CC430F6137 processor in one health care project.
I have now issue with LPM4 current which is around 35 uA despite all my efforts.
I have switch off all internal peripherals, configured the I/Os and removed all external peripherals but with no luck.
I have also used CC430F5137 processor which gives me easily 1.2uA in LPM4.
This can easily give idea that the LCD controller might be the guilty, but I also have switched off the module and charge pump.
Any idea what is possibly consuming that 35uA and where to look next ??

    Is this on a custom board or a TI EVM? How are you measuring the power? Is it for the MSP430 only?

    How are you clocks setup? Using REF0 source can easily add 5-10uA.

    Are you using the LCD or have the LCD connected?

    You are probably already aware, but there are basic LPM3 examples for CC430F6137 in TI Resource Explorer: dev.ti.com/.../

    Actually I am testing CC430F6137 using with your Chronos watch. I have had no luck with the LPM4 current, still about 35uA.

    SW I am using is our application with CC430F5137 and I have added LCD functions to it and port mapping according Cronos Sport Watch.

    All peripherals and had been shut down, but obviously something is still taking current. I also have one board where I have stripped off all peripheral components but the LPM4 current is still about 35uA.

    Our CC430F5137 application LPM4 current is 1.2uA

    I will come back early next week with more details.

    Are you measuring the power on the chronos watch board? I don't have one here, but I'd imagine that all the other components are definitely drawing some power on that board.

    What kind of board or enviroment are you using to measure the CC430F5137?
